(1) Candidates for certification as officer in charge of a navigational watch of ships of 500 GT or more (STCW Code Section A-II/1);Β 

(2) Candidates for certification as officer in charge of a navigational watch on ships of less than 500 GT, engaged on near-coastal voyages (STCW Code Section A-II/3); (3) candidate for certification as officer in charge of an engineering watch in a manned engine-room or as designated duty engineer in a periodically unmanned engine-room of ships powered by main propulsion machinery of 750 kW or more (STCW Code Section A-III/1); (4) Candidates for certification as electro-technical officer (STCW Code Section A-III/6); (5) Able seafarer deck (STCW Code Section B-II/5); Able seafarer engine (STCW Code Section B-III/5).
