On arrival in the UK, where and when must report be made to Customs?

Report must be made a designated place (either a Customs office or Customs post box) within 3 hours of the ship reaching its berth.

(If the designated place is closed, report must be made within one hour of its opening. ) If the ship has arrived within port limits but has not reached its berth, report must be made within 24 hours after arrival within port limits (e. g. from an anchorage). The ship’s agent may apply for an extension if circumstances warrant, e. g. adverse weather conditions. Alternatively, report must be made when requested by an officer visiting the vessel in port.
