What other duties of a ship security officer are specified elsewhere in Part A of the ISPS Code?

(1) Completion of a Declaration of Security (if not done by the master) (para. A/5. 4);Β 

(2) liaising with the Port Facility Security Officer in cases of difficulty in implementing measures, procedures or instructions of a Contracting Government that has set Level 2 or 3 (para. A/7. 6); (3) liaising with the Port Facility Security Officer where the ship is required by the flag State Administration to set, or is already at, a higher security level than that set for the port it intends to enter or is already in (para. A/7. 6); (4) keeping security records as specified in para. A/10.1 (if not kept by the master or another person).
