What action should a UK shipmaster take regarding a seaman who is drunk while on duty?

The master should: (1) ensure the safety of the ship, personnel and the seaman himself;

(2) remove the seaman from duty and substitute another seaman; (3) have the seaman sobered up; (4) discipline the seaman in accordance with any applicable code of conduct (Merchant Navy or company) (was he drunk enough to jeopardise the safety of the ship and personnel?).

What action should a UK shipmaster take if a seaman, who appears to be drunk, complains to him about the food at 2100, while the master is watching a video?
