What does an International Sewage Pollution Prevention Certificate certify?

(1) That the ship is equipped with a sewage treatment plant or comminuter or holding tank and a discharge pipeline, as described in the certificate; (2) that the ship has been surveyed; and (3) that the survey shows that the ship’s structure, equipment, systems, fittings, arrangements and material are satisfactory and that the ship complies with MARPOL Annex IV.
