Who is the Receiver of Wreck?

An MCA official, based at Spring Place, Southampton, responsible for the enforcement of wreck law in the UK. The Receiver has powers under the Merchant Shipping Act 1995 to take charge at the scene of a wreck on the UK coast, and to take charge of all wreck reported by salvors or finders in the UK.
