With respect to the last answer, what is the advantage of using the MCA’s model ship security plan (available on the MCA website)?

The MCA’s model ship security plan has been designed to keep those parts that could be inspected by an officer duly authorized by a foreign government separate from those parts that require the permission for inspection of the UK Government or the master.
