(1) Safety familiarisation training in accordance with Section A-VI/1.1;
and (2) basic training in accordance with Section A-VI/1.2. (3) In addition, if the ship is a specialised ship such as an oil, chemical or gas tanker, or a ro-ro passenger ship or non-ro-ro passenger ship, or a high-speed craft, other specialised training may be required, depending on the function of the individual crew member on board.
