A UK ship is being sold to foreign owners, and at the port of delivery the Crew Agreement and List of Crew are to be terminated. How should this be done?

(1) Discharge all seamen from the Crew Agreement.

(2) Enter the date and place of closing the Crew Agreement on the front of ALC 1 (outer cover). (3) Make an entry in the OLB narrative section recording the discharge of all seamen and closure of the Crew Agreement and LOC. (4) Enter the date and place of closing the OLB on its front cover. (5) Remove the ALC 6 from the location(s) where posted up in the ship. (6) Within 3 days, send the OLB, all annexes to the OLB, all ALC sheets (ALC 1(a), (b), (c) and (d)), and all GMDSS Radio Log sheets to the nearest Marine Office superintendent in the UK or the nearest Proper Officer abroad. (7) Inform the employer(s) of all seamen of their discharge.
