The SCOPIC Clause should be incorporated by reference into any LOF salvage agreement in which it might be required.
Box 7 on the front of the LOF 2011 form contains the question: “Is the Scopic Clause incorporated into this agreement? State alternative: Yes/No” note below this states: “Unless the word “No” in Box 7 has been deleted this agreement shall be deemed to have been made on the basis that the Scopic Clause is not incorporated and forms no part of this agreement.
