Employers of seafarers and other workers on ships must protect workers from risks related to exposure to carcinogens and mutagens.Β 

The Regulations apply to all activities of workers on UK ships, whether on inland waters or at sea. The employer’s general health and safety obligation to improve the safety and health of workers at work is extended to remove or limit the risks of exposure to carcinogens and mutagens.
