What are the master’s obligations regarding inspections of provisions and water?

The master, or a person authorised by him, together with a member of the crew employed in catering, must inspect the provisions and water at least once a week to check whether The Merchant Shipping (Provisions and Water) Regulations are being complied with. The results of the inspection must be recorded on a special page in the Official Log Book.
