Instructions for use and maintenance of the personal protective equipment must be available and comprehensible.
Equipment must be properly stored, maintained and inspected. Workers must be provided with training and instruction as regards the use and maintenance of the equipment. Employers must take reasonably practicable steps to ensure the equipment is used as instructed.
