What is a Statement of Facts?

An extract from the port operations log kept by the port agent and signed by all parties involved (master, stevedore, agent, etc. ).

It contains times of all main events surrounding the vessel’s cargo operations in port, such as arrival, tendering notice of readiness, commencement of laytime, weather stoppages, etc. From these facts the Laytime Statement is compiled.
