What kind of deviations would probably be regarded in law as unjustifiable?

(1) Taking a route which is not the custom of the trade, for purely private reasons;

 (2) putting in to an intermediate port or place for stores or provisions which are not essential to the safe completion of the voyage; (3) putting in for bunkers for a future voyage when there is no clause in the contract of carriage permitting it (e. g. a P&I Bunker Deviation Clause).
