What plan should be made regarding a ship’s fresh water supply, according to the MCA?

A Fresh Water Safety Plan, as advised by MGN 397. This should include:

 (1) System assessment and hazard analysis (including an assessment of source water loaded on to the ship); (2) Management plan and control measures, (the selection and operation of appropriate treatment processes); (3) Monitoring and corrective action system in accordance with the Plan (the prevention of contamination/re-contamination during storage and distribution).
