What right is given to the injured party to a contract following a breach of a condition by the other party?

The right to treat the contract as having been discharged (i. e. to repudiate the contract), and to sue to recover damages to compensate him for any obligations already performed. Alternatively he may affirm (i. e. continue to perform) the contract, and sue for damages to compensate him for the breach.
