Will any copy bills of lading be issued along with the set of originals?

Several copy bills of lading (which are not negotiable documents of title) will be issued for purposes of agents, customs, etc.

One is usually marked “Captain’s Copy” and can be carried on board and used when necessary to identify the contents of a consignment, e. g. where liquid leaks from a container during a voyage.
