Periods during which the running of laytime is suspended because they are outside the definition of laytime.
(To be within the definition of laytime the ship must be available for loading or discharging. ) Examples are: breakdowns of ship’s equipment that prevent loading or discharging; adverse weather during Weather Working Days (if these are agreed in the Laytime Clause). Laytime interruptions should be recorded in the deck log book and on the Statement of Facts (see below).
