Unified Requirement UR S25 sets out three mandatory notations for new bulk carriers. What are they?

“BC-A” is the notation to be used by all IACS member societies for bulk carriers built after 1 July 2003 and designed to carry dry bulk cargoes of cargo density 1.0 tonne/m3 and above with specified holds empty at maximum draught in addition to BC-B conditions. “BC-B” is for bulk carriers designed to carry dry bulk cargoes of cargo density of 1.0 tonne/m3 and above with all cargo holds loaded in addition to BC-C conditions. “BC-C” is for bulk carriers designed to carry dry bulk cargoes of cargo density less than 1.0 tonne/m3 With each harmonised notation there is a corresponding unified design loading condition.
