What charterers’ paperwork will probably be on board while on time charter?

Charterers’ logs, cargo records and other stationery may be provided so that charterers can monitor the vessel’s efficiency.

Stevedoring damage notification forms and log extracts will be required to be sent to charterers. In some tanker and dry bulk trades, charterers’ bill of lading forms may be provided for the master to issue. (In the liner trades this will usually be done ashore by charterers’ agents. )

Under a time charter, who would pay the crew’s overtime when work had to be done preparing the ship for a particular cargo, e. g. washing down holds?
