What is the UK’s position in respect of EEZs.?

The UK does not claim an EEZ and does not recognise claims to EEZs exceeding 200 nautical miles. (Fishing can be controlled in the UK’s 200-mile extended fishing zone, while offshore oil and gas are controlled on the UK continental shelf.)
