The master and the terminal representative must comply with the requirements set out in Schedule 5 to the SLU Code. (Reg. 9)
These relate to: (1) agreement on the loading or unloading plan; (2) completion of a ship/shore safety checklist; (3) effective communication between ship and terminal; (4) conduct of loading or unloading in accordance with agreed plan; (5) formalities on completion of loading or unloading.
