What types of periodical class survey is a large ship classed with a leading classification society usually subject to?

(1) Annual surveys (recorded on Certificates and Interim Certificates of Class as “AS”); (2) intermediate surveys (“IS”); (3) docking surveys (“DS”); and (4) special surveys (“SS”). There would also be boiler survey(s) and tailshaft survey(s).
