(1) Ships carrying more than 2000 tonnes of persistent oil in bulk as cargo must have a Certificate of Insurance or Other Financial Security in respect of Civil Liability for Oil Pollution Damage (or “CLC”) under the 1992 Civil Liability Convention. (2) Ships of over 1000 GT must have a Certificate of Insurance or Other Financial Security in respect of Civil Liability for Bunker Oil Pollution Damage (or “Bunker CLC”) under the Bunkers Convention.
