Does the MCA grant any exemptions from The Merchant Shipping (Port Waste Reception Facilities) Regulations?

Exemptions may be granted by the MCA to ships on regular, frequent, scheduled routes (such as ferries and short-sea traders), where they are notifying, landing and paying a mandatory charge in another port (e. g. through an arrangement with a waste disposal contractor). Details are in MGN 387.
