Named bill of lading. This bill of lading requires the goods to be delivered to a named person.
It differs from an “order bill of lading” . The named bill is not like a usual bill of lading which is negotiable. Because it lacks negotiability, it is similar to a “waybill” or “straight bill of lading”. The goods will be delivered to the person who produces proof that he is the person named in the bill. Although the named bill of lading is not negotiable, it is a document of title or proof of ownership.
